GitFit.AI: Track any nutrition, habit or activity daily with AI.

by SkillAiNest

Hey, ex-Blizz engineer of 2+ years. I recently left my stable career behind to improve my fitness and work on my personal projects. After almost 4 months of hard work and using it myself for 4 weeks, I am finally confident to share it with you. For a little background, I’m someone who tries to run 5 miles a day, optimize random nutrients I care about, and restrict calories. I was annoyed with the fitness/habit tracking. Every app wants to tell you what your goals should be. I don’t need a coach. I have an AI for that. And lesser-known apps will still limit you to what you can track, and box in your data. So I created an app to fix that, keeping your daily habits, nutrients and goals in one place, letting you track anything imaginable in simple grids, just by snapping or typing in what you ate/did. Just tell it what you need to track. These grids are extremely flexible. They have an intuitive color for ranges like good habits, bad habits, nutrients, stats (like weight, height) and mood. All sorts of grid customizations, like turning red when crossing a boundary, scaling each square by target completion, etc. But grids are not enough. You need data portability so you can bring it to AI tools to analyze it. So I added two features to it: designing dashboard widgets with AI (eg a smiley face, or something that crunches numbers like caloric deficit averages, etc.), and the ability to ask AI about your data. Widgets are real-time, dynamic and you have unlimited possibilities. And the Q/A AI actually writes and executes the script to get you the correct answers. These joints are amazing to me. I have exactly what I care about. And I can show it to friends and family to hold me accountable. I’m also someone who strongly believes that self-improvement is something you should experience on a purely personal level. For me, this means taking before/after pictures to see the effects of different workouts, nutrients, etc. So I created a progress pic/vid feature, where the pictures you take are integrated into your grid, and you can see your progress side by side with before/after comparison pictures. You can also click on each day to go back and see every entry that contributed to that day. In short, I’ve created Github commit charts for basically everything you care about, with the least amount of friction possible for tracking (AI, one-tapping, etc.). With all profiles you can share a link publicly. And I tested AI on >500 dishes and it got <6kcal long term bias. I'm really excited to show off what the last few months of my life have brought, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this project goes! More than happy to answer questions from the technical side as well. Thanks for sharing with me! Feedback would be appreciated.
