Hello everyone, I am Kumar, co-founder of Dench.com. We were part of the YC Summer 2024 batch, at that time we were an agent workflow company that served very specific use cases like Legal Intake, Voice and most mundane enterprise tasks with automated sales floors. Earlier, I worked with Naval Ravican on Airchat.
Building consumer, or per-individual prosumer software always gave me more pleasure than FDEing in an enterprise. I’m not happy to keep adding new AI tools manually to the AI SDK use on the cloud for every little new thing, at least not as much as a full native software that’s open source, with all the options of OpenClaw (now I can talk to my CRM on Telegram!). The future is skills and file systems, all tools are skills, all skills are tools. I’m going all in on this.
A few weeks ago, We started Ironclaw. (an open source OpenClaw CRM framework) which now has about 1.3k stars. A lot of people confused us with NearAI’s Ironclaw, so we changed our name to DenchClaw.
OpenClaw feels very much like React today.: Ancient is incredibly powerful, but patterns are still forming, and everyone is adapting it in their own way to actually use it. What made React explode wasn’t just React itself, but the emergence of frameworks like Gatsby and Next.js that made the raw capability feedback-able, repeatable, and easy to adopt. I feel the same way about DenchClaw. We’re not just building on top of OpenClaw. We strive to make this one of the clearest, most practical, and most complete ways to use OpenClaw in the real world. We are an OpenClaw framework, we want to be the most accurate way to use OpenClaw.

We entered YC with Murs (AI Audiocomic), This was an app that I personally have never used. Michael Seibel confronted us on this, and said, “If you’re not the best user of your user app, who is?”.
I now use DenchClaw daily for everything I do. It also acts as a coding agent such as a cursor, DenchClaw created DenchClaw. I’m so used to DenchClaw now that I can ask it, “Hey show me only those in the companies table that have more than 5 employees” and it updates me live versus manually adding a filter.
On Dench, everything sits in the file system.table filters, views, column toggles, calendar/Gantt views, etc., so OpenClaw can work with it directly using Dench’s CRM expertise.
CRM is built on top of DuckDB, which is the smallest, most performant as well as richest database we could find. Thanks to the DuckDB team!
This creates a new OpenClaw profile called “dench”, and opens a new OpenClaw Gateway… This means you can run all your usual openclaw commands by simply prefixing each command with `openclaw –profile dench`. This will initialize your gateway port to the 19001 range. You will be able to access the Denchclaw frontend at localhost:3100. Once you open it in Safari, add it to your folder to use it as a PWA.
Think of it as a cursor for your Mac that’s based on OpenClaw. DenchClaw has a file tree view for you that you can use as an elevated finder tool to do anything on your Mac. I use it to create slides, do LinkedIn outreach using my browser.
DenchClaw sees what you see, does what you do. All it does is the app, which sits natively on your Mac. All yours.
Just ask it “hey import my view”, “hey import everything from my hubspot”, And it will literally go into your browser, export all the objects and documents and put it in your workspace that you can use.
I want you all to break it down, stress its CRM capabilities, how it streams sub-agents for lead enrichment, connects it to your Apollo, Gmail, Notion and everything else out there.
