- Chat GPT’s deep research feature can now export reports as PDF
- PDFs come up with tables, photos and references
- This refreshing documents, sharing, and even other tools make it easier to reuse GPT research.
I’ve spent a lot of time experimenting with the deep research feature of the Chattagpat, and I prepared all kinds of strange (though comprehensive) reports. There has always been a significant difference in its functionality, though so far. Openi has extended a deep research feature with the ability to export your reports as a completely formulated PDF. No more chat GPT links or screenshots are necessary to share what I have learned about the lake George Monster.
This is a small interface upgrade, but it seems as if it should have been made in deep research from the beginning. How does it work You make your deep research report or draw someone a little bit, then click on the share icon in the upper part of the page. You will see that the usual ‘share link’ button now has a colleague ‘Download’ as a PDF ‘button. One click and your report is fully composed in your download folder, the reference will be PDF.
This export option is not available globally. You will need Chat GPT Plus, Team, or Pro membership. Enterprise and education users do not yet have this, but Open said it was coming soon. This is a good thing, because students and professionals are among those who make a condition that I will use deep research the most.
Deep pdf
Now you can export your deep research reports as well as well-formed PDF-completed with images, photos, LinkedIn references and sources. It works for both new and past reports. pic.twitter.com/kecir4teneneMay 12, 2025
With a downloadable PDF, you can eventually do all the work you expect you to do with your research. This may mean keeping it with other research plans, sharing with team colleagues, or connecting it to an email as part of a condition.
So yes, this is just a PDF button. But this is a PDF button that fixes one of the more disappointing aspects of Chat GPT. Now, with the downloadable PDF, you can eventually do all the work you expect you to do with your research: make it secured documents, share with team colleagues, connect it to an email, or even – this is my new favorite – upload it to another AI.
Yes, really. With the PDF, I popped it into Google’s own experimental research assistant, Gemini’s notebook LM. Suddenly, AI was summarizing my deep research report, making a flash card, and suggesting a relevant reading. Then I tried to upload the same PDF in a podcast tool and one of them got the script for the e -infinite episode. Which means, on the way to the dizziness, Chat GPT became the pipeline of just one material. One that exports research and allows the other tools to remark what you need.
And that’s a big deal.
Because the more we use AI tools, the more we need bridges between them. Open does not need to be an app for everything, but it needs to interfere. Giving consumers a PDF option is a low -hanging fruit, of course, but it is also a fruit that allows you to bake you completely new pie. It makes deep research portable. It gives her legs. This means that I do not need to keep 14 tabs open in terms of well -organized writing about the history of Japanese vending machines.
Of course, the implementation of the open is still quirky. It is a bit confused that the “Download as a PDF” option is not in the main chat share menu. Most people will assume that it is not there unless they know where to click. And for a company whose entire pitch is about to reduce friction and increase explanation, it seems strange to bury it behind the icon of another shares. Nevertheless, I will take “slightly invisible but fully active” at any day “completely missing”.
More importantly, this change indicates something else: Open is listening. Probably not always hurry. It may not always be intuitive. But many people have clearly said for it (or screaming about it on Reddate) that this is what happened. And in a product landscape where most updates feel like AI models, who is better to summarize Aristotle, it is fresh to achieve this feature that solves a real -world problem.
