  • Google has launched a new Android Canary Release Channel for developers to test experimental features.
  • A new “parental control” setting has appeared in the pixel devices operating canary blood.
  • This layout can be attached to the incoming “surveillance” tools of Android 16 to manage screen time and web content for children.

We have seen a new “parental control” setting in Pixel devices run by Google’s new Android Canary Blood. This settings appear under the Digital Wellbing Option within the menu, and we think it can be attached to the “surveillance” tools we have previously seen in the release of Android 16 beta 4.

Google’s new Android Canary Release Channel gives developers quick access to Android features in progress. In this early canry construction, the new “Parental Control” sets the indicators of children’s safety tools on Android in the future.

The sequence description is written, “Digital Ground Rules and Screen Time Limits.” However, tapping it currently does not open anything in the canary blood. As we said, this feature looks like a “surveillance” page we first found in Android 16 beta 4.

Earlier in the beta, the “surveillance” page included an option for filtering toggle and web content to enable the device monitoring. Once inserting the pin for the monitoring account, the filters can prevent clear sites on the chrome and clear content in the Google Search. The purpose of these tools is to hide inappropriate materials online, though they may not be able to stop everything.

The purpose of the Android Canary Channel is developers, and Google has warned that these construction are not suitable for daily users. The first release is available for several pixel models, including Pixel 9 series, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tablet.
