David Handler Makes the classic line: “If you make it, they will come.”

After graduating from the Manhattan School of Music, Vallen was not happy with the spaces available to experience the classical music directly for the audience. “The costs were forbidden, and the concert rituals were confused – when do I cough allow?” He told Businessman “I realized there There was a packaging issue that was to separate young audiences from music, which I almost had religious devotion. Not only the classical music, but also the really deeper listening music. “

In 2008, he and his classmate Justin Kentor founded (Le) Posin RogueA music and multimedia art venue, a place that was once the door of the village of Jazz Club, New York City, the legendary city of New York City. Since opening its doors, the LPR boundary is known for hosted by the Pashking artists as well as the intimate shows of icons such as Thom Yarke, U-Yu Ma, Lady Gaga, Aggie Pop, Lord, Back and Philip Glass.

Talked with the handler Businessman About it, he turned his hobby into a promoted business and offered his best suggestions for those who dream of raising their artistic vision. (Answers are modified for length and explanation.)

There are many places of music in New York City. What do you think when you launched an LPR?
The music we now hear in the concert halls were played in chambers that were more closely resembling Jazz club. Music was a living, breathing thing, and people were talking to it in different ways. There was less pressure. At the time we decided to open the LPR, it seemed that it was a mutual interest here. Art companies need more unrelated and nightlife that requires a little more substance. So I wrote a business plan to try and Live the arts in New York City and deepen the culture overnight.

How did you start writing your business plan?
I was 27 years old, and it was a long order. I had never arranged the bar, just let one open a place. So, I told investors who were already donors to the appetite institutions and said, “Look, I am a Conservative graduate, I am also cool as a young man.
Listen and expand the audience, and you will also see a return, which you will never see with any donation. “

How did you end where the village door was standing?
The village gate has a really famous cultural history. But between the Gate and the LPR, it was a nightclub called Life. And because of this, there were many problems. I basically had to leave my villain at Community Board meetings to prove that I was not just a punk that wanted to destroy the neighborhood. And on the way, we set up a relationship John Story, Which designed electric lady studios for Jimmy Hendrix. When I told him I was going to do everything to dragging bingo nights from metal to string quartes, he was down And decided to help Make the place that we now know as the LPR.

You were trained as a musician. What do you think did you trust the entrepreneurship?
I saw a gap. You listen to people talking about stumbling or going to your heart. This was a mission that I was really fond of, and it was very cute to me. I didn’t think of it as a business as a delivery method or a way to spread the gospel of music and art that I believe. Before the algorithm and recommended engines, I made Baspic music mix. I had friends for friends who heard metal and they didn’t know Stravansky. So I used to be like, “You can hear the same dissatisfaction with the music you know in this new thing.” It was interesting to me. A fully business -minded idea will not work for me because it is only there to end this business. It works because it has a lot of passion behind it.

Any moment that stands in front of you as your plan is working?
I remember going down the line one night while talking to someone who had left South America to watch a show. And Then there was someone who had no idea what they were in line to see. But since it was in the LPR, and we gained their confidence in another night, they were like, “I don’t know this genre, but I’m going to give it a shot at LPR because I know the quality is high.”

What would you advise someone to read that dreams of opening your music or art venue?
There are abundance of location logistics. For example, in New York, some difficult things were getting wine license. And this is a strange triangle of liquor license and funding and signing lease. You can’t sign the lease or get funds unless you sell alcohol. And let’s face it, you are going to make your money at the same place. IF You don’t think you are in the business of open the music location, you are joking yourself. And before you get a place to sell it, you can’t get a liquor license. So there are a lot of chickens and eggs. But except for logistics, I understand what the market needs and is about to have a clear, sleeve -down view about providing it in an unconstitutional way. But that doesn’t mean you are not ready. We just contributed with KD Labs so that all tickets became one of the first major places to completely move into blockchain technology. And always keep in mind what success means to you. I have to see the number for business, but hMostly, This is not the one who guides me. It is deep things in my life, in my family, my own art and the artists we work. This is the measurements through which I want to stay.
