They have their own opinions expressed by business partners.
There is a story in which I’m coming back. You may have heard this too.
Once, a cargo ship broke into the water. The staff could not find out what was wrong, so they called one or two experts one by one, but no one was able to detect the mistake.
Then he called an old professional who had been fixing the engines since he was young. He kept walking, studied the engine for a few minutes, and tapped the same place with a hammer. The engine returned into life. A few days later, the captain received an invoice at $ 10,000.
He pushed back that the old man barely touched him and he could not justify the higher price.
The expert replied that the cost of tapping the hammer is $ 2. Knowing where to tap it is $ 9,998.
That story is never old to me. Because it does not matter how advanced the system is (even developed like AI), its price still falls down to who is running it.

Humans are still holding hammers
As the COO of a technology company, I regularly talk to business leaders who want to adopt AI solutions. They recognize the importance of the correct data and technical infrastructure to support AI, but rarely discuss the human element. For example, who will adopt the AI tools, who will make, train, maintain and use? This explanation is almost always missing.
AI can be really beneficial, but only if you have the right people who can guide it with thinking and strategy.
In the AI preparation studies that we perform in our company, I often feel that even smart, experienced leaders reduce the importance of these human skills and perspectives. Leaders are aware of the basic business challenges they are trying to address. Nevertheless, they often fail to consider who has the best understanding of the AI in their organization and how much upscings are needed so their employees can benefit the most.
AI is great to analyze large -scale data, but still you need a team that is able to connect the insights of these data to its major business goals. You need people who can identify opportunities that no machine will feel without command.
I have seen that many companies invest in the AI system a lot, just to realize that their people have a lack of critical thinking or strategic approach to use technology effectively.
Similarly, AI is great to automate manual tasks, but you still need people to handle and handle the edge matters and complex tasks. You still need people who know where to tap the hammer when the ship dies in water.
So, what kind of people do you need to work AI?
In the upper part, a Chief Data Officer (CDO) or VP of the AI strategy decides how AI can solve strategic issues. Subsequently, AI product managers form a vision in projects, using basic tech information to bridge business and AI.
Below them, data scientists clean and produce AI’s DATA data, while machine learning engineer produces AI model that converts data into insights. Business analysts use these insights to improve decision -making. AI ethics experts oversee compliance, especially in areas such as health care, ensuring that AI does not break the rules of laws or justice. Get the change leads on the board, use the staff to use AI tools without Pushback.
This role Intelock: CDO determines the purpose, product managers plan, technical teams build, analysts adapt, ethics experts check and change leads.
After all these years, I have seen a lot of technology coming and going. And there is always excitement around the next big thing. But at this time, one thing never changed: tools don’t run results. People do.
This is no different from AI. Yes, it is very powerful and can change every process we are still following. But it does not produce business costs itself. Nevertheless, it seems to be sharp minds who know how AI has to work for business.
Remembering you, it is not easy to find these people. AI talent competition is severe. From AI architects, data scientists and engineers to AICV marketers, customer support and departmental leaders, supply is tough and demand is high.

Ai is a hammer
AI old ship is not mechanic. This is his hammer. Your investment in AI can only pay if you find people who know how and how it is applied.
If your people are not clear that the world’s most smart technology will not advance your business, then how to turn its insight into a strategic action.
