We have heard a group of rumors about Apple’s plans for smart glasses, and other wear -wearing head gear, but this project initially we thought was more intense. According to the analyst Ming Chi KooApple still has at least 7 different head -bound devices in growth.
“Apple looks at head -mounted devices as the next major trend in consumer electronics, according to an analyst report.” Which may explain why it is doing so much to develop different powers.
Apparently it includes three vision series products and four different types of smart glasses. None of them are expected to reach 2026, and the first release is planned to reach 2027. Koo claims that 5 of these products have “confirmed development timelines”, while the final 2 is still TBD.
Apple’s Head Wearing Equipment: What are these 7 products?
There are apparently smart glasses like Ray Bean to reach the first new product, which has a shipment of 3-5 million units in 2027. However, he believes that the M5 -driven vision pro, which is otherwise not changed with the current model, is ready to go into mass production in Q3 this year.
Kuo claims that these glasses have no functionality – instead of relying on audio playbacks, cameras, video recording and AI that can analyze the world around you. There will also be apparently control of sound and indicator to go with it.
The Kuo report predicts that the lightweight “vision air” will enter the mass production in Q3 2027, which has a 40 % reduction in weight, low -cost tags and “Apple’s latest flagship iPhone processor”.
Meanwhile, the second -generation vision pro is expected to arrive at the end of 2028 with a new lighter design, low price and “Mac Grade Processor”.
Apple’s XR Glasses
In the case of glasses, it also happens at the end of 2028 when Koo predicts that a set of XR glass will arrive, the silicon (LCOS) will be completed with a liquid crystal on the color display. It is said that AI’s support is important for its success.
It is said that some kind of teacher display accessories are also in development, but have been stopped from last year. Apparently, it was delayed because Apple doesn’t have to compete better with competitors.
It is unclear what the last seventh device is actually, and Koo does not go into details about joining it.
Between the upstones like Meta, Google, Samsung and Zariel, Apple has actually terminated its work. The competition is getting hot, and now 2027 looks like a far away.
