Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Officially released Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exam Date Sheet 2026 On its official websites – cbse.gov.in And cbse.nic.in.

As per the schedule, the board exams will begin February 17, 2026and continue End of March.

N New update under NEP 2020

This academic year, CBSE has introduced a major change in the line accordingly New Education Policy (NEP 2020). Class 10 students will now get an opportunity to appear Two Board Exams annually – Earlier in February (Mandatory) And The second in May 2026 (Optional) Improving scores in three subjects.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) What has been released? Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exam Date Sheet 2026 approx 110 days ago Commencement of Examinations- Record initial announcement by the Board. This strategic initiative aims to provide sufficient preparation time to students, teachers and schools alike.

  1. Better preparation for students: With the soon-to-be-released date sheet, students can now design a more effective study plan, set subject-wise goals, and manage revision time smartly.
  2. Better planning for teachers: Teachers can align lesson completion, doubt sessions and revision classes to official exam schedules, ensuring curriculum coverage in advance.
  3. Effective educational planning for schools: Schools can conveniently schedule mock exams, internal assessments and practicals, avoiding last-minute scheduling conflicts.
  4. Better Preparation of Examination Centers: The preliminary announcement allows CBSE examination centers to make necessary logistical arrangements – from seating plans and security measures to availability of simulators – to ensure smooth conduct of examinations.
