- Google Chrome for Android can soon help to automatically detect and fill two factor codes sent by SMS.
- Android apps have supported this functionality for years, but this ability will be easy for websites.
Android apps work well with the verification code sent by SMS, as they can automatically detect and fill out these codes. Unfortunately, if you are going to a website in Chrome for Android, you have to copy these codes manually.
Thanks, tipster Leopio 64 Notifications that Chrome for Android can soon detect the two factor verification code sent by SMS and can automatically fill them on the websites. As seen below, the user also posted an option screenshot.

Automatic detection and filling of one -time pins (OTP) is a welcome time to save the apps, so it should be easier to have this ability on the websites. However, some websites do not have apps. However, if you like to use a website more than downloading another app, it should also work.
The tipter also rightly notes that the SMS -based two -factor verification is considered more unsafe than other options (such as using an authentic app). However, this will still be a good step for all the websites that support this verification option.
