Create Google Calendar Clone with PHP, SQL and JavaScript

by SkillAiNest

Just making something from the beginning using only PHP, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is a great way to enhance your skills and achieve a real understanding of full stack development.

We have just published a course on the Free Codecamp.com on the YouTube channel that will teach you how to develop a full Google Calendar style app. If you want to learn how web apps actually work behind the screen, without relying on the framework or third -party libraries, this is a course for you. This is an excellent project to add to your portfolio or use your own scheduling or booking tools as the starting point.

The project covers everything from laying calendar UI to wiring an SQL database, writing all the passenger logic in PHP and mobilizing the app with Vanilla JavaScript. You will not use any framework, packages, or helpers. Just clean, readable code. This becomes a solid learning tool whether you are trying to understand the preliminary principles or is more experienced who wants to see how to build a real app without relying on tech stack.

This is what you will make and learn:

  • A full -responsive calendar configuration using simple HTML and CSS

  • Better time clock and modern UI that have dropdowns and models for better user conversations

  • Support multi -day appointment, including Start/End Time Slot

  • Complete crude functionality (Add, Edit, Delete Booking) using PHP and SQL

  • Booking of conflict logic to prevent over -liping appointments

  • Clean the JavaScript that actually offers calendar and controls models

  • A final polished app that can easily be molded into tools such as school systems, event planners, or personal schedules.

The calendar interface is smooth and intuitive. Users can jump between months, see multiple bookings a day, and interact with models to handle events. With the reload of the page, everything is up to the real time. This is a complete stack experience with Front & Design, Back & Logic, and Database Integration.

The course is about 3 hours long and clearly breaks into the structures, so you can follow it even if you are new to some technologies. The instructor clearly clarifies every step, and by the end, you will not only have a working app, you will understand how and why everything works.

Now you can see the full tutorial in free Freecodecamp.org YouTube channel (3 hours clock)
