If the rumors are correct, the Google Pixel 10 is just a few months away. And among the features of the new camera, a 3nm tanker G5 chip set, and a large number of new AI capabilities, have a lot to wait. But is there any of these things now?
Yesterday, a new report highlights the latest details for the Pixel 11 series of 2026-especially that Google’s Pixel 11 handsets will feature TSMC-made Tensor G6 chip with a 2NM fabric design. Not only will the 3NM tanner will jump from G5, which we expect in the Pixel 10 lineup, but with 3nm designs to stay in 2026, can be one of the first companies to market with Google 2nm Silicon.
Suppose this report is correct, which will make Pixel 11 one of next year’s most impressive Android phones in the market, and in comparison, what we have heard about Pixel 10 can make it feel less interesting. If there is bleeding in Pixel 11, 2nm can be quiet, should we still be upset with Pixel 10?
Does 2nm Tenser Chip for Pixel 11 bring you less interested in Pixel 10?

There is more on the phone other than the nanometer

On the one hand, I understand why this report is so tantalizing. Ever since Google has begun its tanker experiment with Tancer G1 in Pixel 6, Google has been playing for Qualcomm and Madiotic. Every new tensor chip is better than coming before, but Google has never been able to improve chips with its rivals.
Thus, the idea that it can eventually be changed next year with Pixel 11. If Qualcomm uses 2026 Snapdragon Chip 3NM design (as it is rumored), Tancer G6 has a 2NM design, which will be an important moment for Google. This will be marked for the first time when the Google Tenser will go beyond the chip contest rather than behind. If you are a pixel fan and have been one for a while, this is the moment you are waiting for.
Given this context, it is easy to see how one can watch this news and decide to write Pixel 10. However, there are some problems with the line of thinking.

Let’s suppose that this report is correct and that 2nm tanker chip will be presented by defeating 2NM Snapdragon chips in Pixel 11 in 2NM race. Great However, the first does not always mean the best. A 2NM chip set is obliged to be more performance and efficient than 3NM chip, but the first-generation tech-pixel phones do not have a good combination. Google can defeat Qualcomm with a 2nm smartphone chip set, but if it is to rush from insects and performance prices that need to be ironed, how much will it make?
Moreover, the fabricated size is not the only factor in the game. Self -chip design and makeup is equally important, and for years, Qualcomm has proven permanently better chip design than Google.
Not always the best meaning.
Google Defense, Tancer G6 will be manufactured by TSMC instead of Samsung, which should significantly improve battery life and thermal thrilling – two issues that have suffered tanker chips to date. With the line of thinking, a 2nm chip that is developed by a more reliable chip set foundry means that there is a Lot Tancer G6’s capacity.
But it leads me to your next point. TSMC is not being switched in 2026. This year, Tancer G5 has been confirmed with the G5. We are expecting a less impressive 3NM design for the G5, but the Samsung-made 4NM Tensor G4 from TSMC-Med 3nm Tensor G5 to go to G5 3nm Tensor G5-> 2NM Tensor G6 Upgrade should be another more important leap.
You can always wait for a new generation

On another common note, such reports are always a good reminder of the old advice for mobile tech: you can always wait for the next new thing. While scrolling through one Reddate thread Discussing the report of Pixel 11, I received some comments, highlighting the point, which is more humorous.
“Not worth it, personally pixels are waiting for the 16s 0.3nm processor, this is what will make the tensors a flag,” says Yu/Sasamarasib. And as the U/No Concernn1915 rightly states, “At this time you can wait for Pixel 17, as it will be more dissatisfied, which has made 16 great.”
The sarcastic comments that are not wrong. Whether it’s a pixel or any other phone, you can always guarantee that a new version will be released after one year – and it will be new.

Sometimes, waiting for something new makes sense. With the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in early July, I probably won’t recommend you to buy a Galaxy Z Fold 6 right now. Similarly, if you are considering getting a new pixel phone but no one is needed immediately, it may be worth waiting for a few months for the Pixel 10 series.
But should you take things one step further and wait until 2026 as Pixel 11 can have 2nm chip in? What about the possibility of waiting for the possibility of 1nm chip in Pixel 12 or Pixel 13? You see how quickly it can be.
Do I think the chance of 2nm chip in Pixel 11 is interesting? Of course, I don’t think it needs a shadow of Pixel 10. I am sure that next year’s pixel phone will be a fun, but this year’s release is also valuable. And unless the pixel 10 is released and the wild is out, it is a pixel that we may have to focus on.
