An independent vehicle technology startup, Badric Robotics, has been working quietly for more than a year. Now, it is breaking the core with investors’ eclipse and 80 million funding rounds by 8VC.
Bedrock Robotics focuses on developing a self -driving kit that can be added to construction and other worksite vehicles, According to the company. The announcement confirms some of the Tech Crunch reporting in May. Baderick is upgrading the existing fleet with sensors, computations and intelligence that understands the goals of the project, adapts to changing conditions, and processes the 24 -hour work, ” According to a blog post written by co -founder and CEO Boris Sofman.
Earlier, Sofman had led Vemo’s shutter self -driving truck program. But he is probably famous for his role as a co -founder and CEO of his robotics, which made Kozmo’s famous user robot, and closed in 2019. Other co -founders include Vemo Veterans Kevin Patterson, who is now CTO, Ajay Gummala, who is a VP of engineering, and earlier in the seag tag worked.
The company could not reach comment. After responding to Badrick, Tech Crunch will update this article with new details.

Baderick is the latest company to operate these engineers who specializes in robotics, autonomy, and road environments in AI. In recent years, the launch of a number of independent vehicles has to implement its own driving system in off -road environment, such as construction, mining, industrial places, and even defense.
Earlier this week, a start -up Printo based in San Francisco, which developed a self -driving system, designed for Holage Trucks and other off -road vehicles used at construction and mining locations, won the competitor. Other Startups playing off -road sovereignty and wide sector include Kodiac robotics, polymith robotics, Seattle -based Overland AIBased in, New Burnsk, Canada CapabilityAnd more established companies like Fortra.
Bederick said its focus is on construction locations and is examining with four corporations in Arkansas, Arizona, Texas and California: Syndat Construction, Zacher Construction Corporation, Champion Site Preprep, and Capital Agriculture.
