Federal Trade Commission The beginning of a rule is delayed, which aims to make subscriptions less than a nightmare. Last year, the FTC voted in favor of amending the rules known as the negative option role, which included a new “click -to -key” rule, which requires companies to be clear about the terms of subscription signups, and they are “more difficult for users than to sign them”. Not surprisingly, anyone, telecom companies were not happy, and prosecuted the FTC. Although the rule was still to be implemented on May 14, the FTC says the implementation has now been forwarded from July 14 to 60 days.

Parts of the latest negative option were implemented on January 19, but the implementation of some provisions was postponed by May 14 to give more time to comply with the companies by the previous administration. Under the new administration, the FTC says it has “a new review of the burden that forcing compliance according to this date” will “impose” and he decided that “compliance with compliance is an inadequate calculation.”

Once the deadline is removed on July 14, the FTC says that “regular institutions have to comply with the entire principle as the commission will start implementing it.” But, the statement added, “If this implementation experience is exposed, the commission is open to amending it.”
