Congrats Perfect divorce Killing No. 1. How does it feel?
It feels realistic. My mind is not caught.
Being first on the Best Seller list is a huge sign of success, but how do you appreciate success?
It praised the seller for being a seller, selling millions of copies and big progress. But I think my success has changed a year and a half ago, and this was the time when I had a severe burnout. I didn’t have the right team around me, so when I hit my important position, I knew I needed to change this career. I changed the whole team around me, and now I successfully explain that they are able to breathe, speak to other people in the room from me and take a day’s leave without guilt that I should do something to develop my career. This is the success.

While Perfect marriage First came out, you were not yet a famous author. As you wrote a follow -up, did you know that every phrase you typed would be read by millions of people?
That’s the thing when I produce my videos for social media or write my books. I forget that other people are going to read or see it. I write my books for myself. The first book I ever wrote was literally for myself. I was not trying to publish. It was to work with the grief of losing my mother.
What were you doing before becoming a writer?
I was a global senior social media manager, so I in fact wrote my first four or five books at a full -time work. The job was basically 8 to 5, so I wrote nights and weekends. I will do this large session in writing where I worked from 10am to 9pm. I keep doing this even though I have been a full -time author of March 2021. I feel that if I am writing it, it makes it viable for the reader.
Can you tell us a little how you make your thrilling map? Or do you make it when you go along?
I will not start writing a book unless I summarize it in one or two sentences, so it has a very commercial hook. I enjoy writing a back -market copy, so I write this second piece before starting the story. Then I do my character sketches and my setting sketches, so I feel like I really know them. This is all my research. I offer a slight outline, but never the whole book NEVER, because I want the story to be able to change and the characters should be breathed and not trapped with this sketch. So sometimes I surprise myself. I usually know the big turn, but other small turns and revelations are usually surprised that I did not intend to write. They came out during the written spirits.

Success often doesn’t come easily – any suggestion that you can share about being rejected?
Well, not to grow, but I have more than 400 rejection in my career. But from the beginning, I didn’t know to take it personally. I knew it was a creative career, and it was inevitable to reject. So I treated every “no” with “no” or “great effort”. Now that I have agents and editors who rejected me then want to work with me, I never treat it with him, “Oh no, I’m going to be much.” I think everything happens for one reason. If this happened in a different way, I wouldn’t have a career yet. It may be that even the books I wrote will be different, or I do not have to work so much that if I don’t have to work hard to do so.
Can you talk about the progress of the marketing you had? Perfect marriage With Ticatok?
I had a very small publisher, and did not have a marketing budget. I know that I was going to become what he had to market. So I came to Instagram and Facebook. Then I saw Ticotok, and at that time, it was considered an app for the dance of young people. But I scrolled around and I realized, no, here are other things. People are contenders for the community. They want to share their choice and dislike. So I started marketing my book there, and one of my first videos received five million views and the shooting ended. Perfect marriage Up to number 3 on Amazon. So I started to increase the readers. But I knew I just didn’t want to market my books. I really wanted to share with my readers, parts of my life – my husband, my dog, behind the scenes, my humor and my personality. I made sure that it was not just a transactional. It was more about making a community between me and my readers.

What was the video?
It created a trend of books. I pretended that I was the main character of my book, and told everyone that my husband was accused of murder and his mistress was victimized. Then I held my book and said, “In fact, this is the plot of my new book.” He just bowed to the people. It doesn’t really work now because other authors have done this. Even the publishers did. Readers did this about their favorite books. So it was a lot of tour. When I am on the camera, I try to be more and more natural now.
