- Google is focusing on a problem that is affecting the installation of play system updates on Android 16 -run devices.
- The company says it has identified the issue and will solve it with the next update.
- The problem also affected our Pixel 9A -run Android 16, and many others also reported the issue on other pixel phones.
I have been dealing with the problem of update on Android 16, running my Pixel 9A for weeks, and shows that I am not single. Now for a while, I could not successfully install new Google Play System’s updates. Whenever I tapped the update button, the phone found update available and started installing it. However, after this process, the installation will stop suddenly and show the error message “failing to update”.
First, I eliminated it as a specific play system refreshing problem. But the way I was considering a complete factory reset, I found out that So many other Android 16 or Android 16 QPR Bloods were facing the same problem.
Thankfully, Google has acknowledged the issue and is taking action.
I A new support articleGoogle says it is aware of the problem that is preventing some Android 16 and Android 16 beta devices from installing the latest update of the Google Play System. (If you are not sure where to find it, go Settings> Security and Privacy> System and Update> Google Play System Update.Jes
The good news is that Google says that your phone does not need a reopening factory. A fix has been identified and will be included in the upcoming Google Play System.
Hopefully, this means that the problem will be resolved soon, and we will eventually re -install the play system updates. I am particularly looking forward to the improvement in recent July updates.
