Hey product! 👋 I am a CJ, an independent developer who likes to make open source and things. When I broke my finger, I made it easy and needed an open source speech to text app that I can edit and customize. When you are codeing, writing emails, filling the form, or doing something else, Handi lets you speak directly to any text field in your computer. How it works: press a shortcut, speak, press again. Wherever your words are typing, your words appear. With whispers run completely offline, cross platform, no subscription or cloud processing. My view: This feature is not trying to complete-it is designed to edit easily. I needed something I could customize to experience with new ways to use my voice with a computer. The code base is deliberately easy so that others can build on it, make a fork, and shield it for your specific needs. Current status: This is a beta software that has known problems. I am actively looking:-Nourcing partners to help us try to try and report their bugs and improve architecture-who also wants the text Foundation from speeches to modify whether you want to experience leakage tools, or do not think of your speech. Should be easy. The goal is making it real with real feedback and mutual cooperation. What troubles are you suffering? What would you like to edit?
Handy: Talk directly to any text field
