You just opened your siding franchise in just six weeks. What did you move so fast?

I was interested in the Siding Business because it’s visual – people feel how beautiful the home is prevention. And I briefly considered buying a business a few years ago, but it was a person and came with a franchise with help, so I stepped there. When I heard about the ideal siding and found out that they were marketing and providing leads, I was interested. Once I saw the head office and how much passion was in the business, it was an easy decision for me. I went quickly, because at that time, I already had a strong belief in the brand.

What is the key to scaling your franchises?

It certainly did not come from aggressive sales plans. This relationship has come from building and establishing trust with clients and partners. This happened physically, surrounded yourself with family and friends who share the same spirit for development through quality and relationships.

What do you like to work so closely with your family every day?

I like it I have surrounded myself with my eldest son and other family members. In the Cambridge area, my partner is my daughter -in -law. In the Muskoka area, my partner is my niece’s father -in -law. I wanted to make something sustainable where we were known for quality and consistency, and I knew they had the same purpose.

How do you manage the limits when your business is a family matter?

We respect our personal place. Business is one thing, personal life is another thing. The staff gets at work once a month to overcome any problems or problems that we face and find solutions together. All stakeholders will have to go away with the winning situation. It has been a heartbeat and culture in our company, and that keeps things balanced between this personal and business relationships.

Construction is still a male majority sector. Have you suffered any shock as a woman who goes to this place?

When I first started, some people looked at me as I was playing on it. But he has also worked as an advantage, because I told the client to me that he was happy to deal with the woman. If you have a passion and believe it, just do it. I had no safety net, I was just deeply convinced to do things in different ways in the construction world – that we make sure that there are standards and protocols in the industry – and that women can be valuable to the industry.

Have you learned a lesson during scaling?
