What was your day job or basic profession when you started your side histl?
After college, I worked in sale for my mother during the day and packed the order at night. I didn’t have a fashion degree. I just had a deep desire to make something that felt like me – bold, global, connected. I started the 12th tribe in 2015 with the love of style, storytelling and standing. While studying abroad in college, I traveled to 11 countries – how I saw the world and fashion. I was attracted to the idea of ​​where you were and who you are through what you wear.

At that time, I was preparing a type of vintage pieces to avoid looking like everyone. I was a solo founder, fresh out of college, was doing everything along with my family and close friends, packing order, styling shoots and responding to every DM. It started as the side stirring, but our first viral moment was affected rapidly. Many people assume that a team is handling everything. But as a founder, especially starting with anything, you are in the thickness of it. You’re not just running vision and strategy. You are losing the deadline, departments and livelihoods associated with your decisions. This is a responsibility that most people do not understand.

And as a woman, it is permanently expected that everything will be “just enough”. Very straight and you are cold. Very kind and you are weak. You are expected to guide you under pressure, but the pressure does not really happen. In fact, it is less about balance and more about the ability, learning about self -esteem and learning even when your weight does not look at the weight you raised.

Can you miss a particular example when you go wrong? How did you do it right?
During the peak season, our warehouse at this time misunderstood the inventory for a large launch. Thousands of units were delayed, and customer orders were sitting in Lumbo. That is, a brand based on community and trust, it felt as if it could expose years of hard work overnight.

The first step was immediate transparency. I personally stepped in to communicate with my customers, to tell them that we are aware of the matter, work for 24 hours, and that their trust is our top priority. Behind the scenes, I mobilized every department: Our Operations team worked directly with the warehouse, our marketing team changed the messaging in real time, and we reorganized the completion process to obtain the order manually.

I set the goals of sales for myself and made a promise that if I was short, I would find a way to do so. What does a typical day or week of work take place for you?
As a founder and creative director, my time is made very deliberately during the week to advance the business at both insights and operational levels. I start aligning with leadership every week. From there, I load my week with marketing and products, as they are a brand heartbeat and need extreme creative and strategic energy. On the end of the week, I turn into finance and operations, making sure we are on track with budget, forecast and organizational flow.

A typical day can swing between big picture strategies and work at work. I often get ready for photoshoots, immersed in the creative process, because when it comes to telling the story and the product offer, I believe in being shoes on the ground. This vision is a balance of setting, team alignment and rolling your sleeves, where it makes the most difference, which makes me deeply connected with the brand and the people who live it.

I am currently preparing one of the largest departments that is the center of this brand, so I work for many hours from Monday to Friday.
