How does the silent leadership look in the sharp world

They have their own opinions expressed by business partners.

When I sat down with Scott Klauson, CEO of Clegan, there was no pompe, there was no buzzer word and certainly no ego. He is not trying to sell you on anything. Cleggan is a about 90 -year -old ancient water company based in the suburbs of Chicago, and led by Scott, it is more than $ 400 million to $ 3.3 billion, which is now serving more than 14 million households and two million businesses in 90 countries. And I had never heard of it! But the Scott does not come like the CEO of the common “big company”. He was based on ground, worried and deep mission.

We met at the United Center, where a official partnership of Cliegen Hydration is. It was appropriate. Scotts have played a major role in the life of Scott, and they give most of their leadership style to their high school basketball team’s lessons in Indiana. There is no star player mentality – just a group of people working together with clear character and shared goals. It seems that philosophy reduces its full view of its business: create a strong team, focus on the goal, and guide the flash with consistency.

The purpose of the Clegan is straightforward: providing healthy, safe, sustainable water to people around the world. It is a mission that is more important than the feeling of most people. More than two billion people lack access to safe drinking water. In the United States, in areas such as Michigan, Texas and Midwests, there are more people’s views over the views of outdated infrastructure and chemical pollution. Scott and his team are trying to fix it-not just through better filtration, but also by reducing dependence on single-use plastics and increasing access to areas such as Latin America and Southeast Asia.

However, the most standing for me was not just a mission. It was a description of the real sense of Scott’s thought and responsibility. He is not trying to become a social media personality. He is not chasing headlines. When you guide a company for 10+ years with this type of performance, it can be easily. But he is making something with a long -term effect, and it seems that this accent is surrounded by the culture of the Cleans. A CEO has heard that he wakes up every day and Loves Going to work – not because it’s easy, but because it’s meaningful.

Scott also made it clear that the leadership does not need to take a brief eye. He advocates more business leaders to prioritize stability, long -term value and humanitarian element of enterprise. At a time when the CEO turnover is at a height at all times and the withdrawal of employees is increasing, leaders like Scott work as a reminder that humility, consistency and purpose still win over long distances.

That’s what I do CEO Series. Not to promote companies or CEOs. Do not grill executives on quarterly performance. But to better understand people behind the titles and highlight the leadership that is not just driven by ego or profit. Scott Clauson is one of these leaders, and I am glad we had to tell a bit of his story. Hope you enjoy the video.
