They have their own opinions expressed by business partners.
I have never been thankful for becoming a business owner when I recently caught with a close friend and former partner from my corporate days. This man is a definition of reliable. He is diligent, always prefers work and rarely complains or demands anything.
Recently, he had a great deal of difficulties and needed to temporarily withdraw his family to focus. Initially, his company was sympathetic and resident. However, in the end, he lost the job that he dedicated to a lot of time and energy.

Corporations are not people …
As a friend, I am heartbroken. As a business owner, I am surprised. Although I think business responds to their shareholders, what I struggle to reconcile is the decision to ignore loyalty and service dedication. Learning how little the company respected my friend’s difficulties, it only confirmed the promise when I started my company and expressed their commitment that they would never make a profit in front of the people.
Long after my friend told me my story, a member of my team suffered a traumatic event. Instead of adopting a “corporate” approach, referring to the policy, instead of discussing the FMLA and generally putting more pressure on a terrifying situation, my business partner and I bowed to support them. We made it clear that their welfare comes first. None of us has ever been to let them go during a difficult time in their lives because they cannot show and make money for the company. I was the only idea that I could help in any way.
… They are just running through people
The corporate world is famously baseless, but to know that the number of years of service you served is nothing short of cruel to know that your personal difficulties. I am sure that if my friend had the flexibility he needed, he would have made it ten times with the company after being able to return to work, but that could never happen because his company had never seen it.
When team members know they will cooperate at work, especially during their very difficult moments, they just don’t encourage. They are affected. They will give you more time and attention freely, and they will care more about their work. Loyalty to your people in return promises loyalty.
“Culture” and “assets”
What the corporate world has rejected, is the role of human kindness in the cultivation of human capital. Many big companies talk a great deal about their team members being the most valuable asset, but they really mean that they value their team members value their income.
As this is not the case, they searched someone else to cut the relationship and fill the place. This kind of culture promotes resentment and promotes corruption because, when companies fail to protect their “most valuable assets”, those assets are less utilized to protect the company.

Real human capital is measured in respect, not dollar
My people are my company. Without them, I would fail as a business. I have worked hard to find the right people, train them, nurture their abilities and create an environment that promotes creativity, because when they are happy, it shines in their work. Although this leadership style may not always be the most profitable in the short term, it has been an important factor in my company’s long -term success.
So, when something is unexpected, I will be present to offer my help. My people know this, and I am confident that if I need them, they will take steps for me.
