One of these hints resulted in a booking meeting. And he confirmed that I was watching: The search is changing. We have entered the Answer Engine Correction (AEO) – and if you are not showing in AI tools, you will not find at all.
From SEO to AEO
The search was about ranking on Google. The purpose was to look quite high on the list that people would click. But AI agents such as Chat GPT, anxiety, gymnasium, cloud and coat lists do not offer lists. They give answers. Sometimes only one.
This means that your beautiful website and a smart copy does not matter if AI tolls do not recognize or suggest you. Looking in this new era means that you offer your business online – not only for people, but also for machines that decide what people see.

Make your business understandable for AI
AI agents rely on structural data to interpret what your business actually do. Without it, your site is just the text wall. With this, you are rich in context, reliable and easy to recommend.

Create your content so that the AI can take a clear reaction.
This is not about keywords or SEO tricks. This is about having the best, clear answer to a real question. And when you are, Ai will take notice.
Be permanent in platforms
AI draws from your entire online foot print, not just your website. If the details of your business say one thing on them and in the second directory, this contradiction weakens your reputation. Make sure you show your name, services and contact information wherever you show online. Links between profiles where it is meaningful. Each platform is a signal, and when the indicators are aligned, AI can connect the dots.
Test himself
If you want to know how you are showing, just ask. Chat GPT or Open Open and Type:
“Who is the best (service) provider in (your city)?” Or
“Which company (industry) helps (pain point)?”
See if you are mentioned. If not, consider what is missing. Is your “about page” too vague? Is your content really helpful? Is your business clearly connected to the platforms? This lost link may be because AI is not recommending you.
