Just five days after its Reach Mini Robot’s order opened, the AI developer platform hugs says it has sold $ 1 million for sale. This is not a bad start for a company that has just spread to robotics, and is known to allow developers to download the open source AI model away from the Internet.
On this episode of Equity, the face of the throat was broken by co -founder and chief scientist Thomas Wolf, where he looks at the company’s robotics. While other Startups deal with robots for home – such as data and 1x – want their robots to offload some of your tasks, the hugs are more visible to the Rich Mini, more than a hackable, entertainment device.
The device is so small to fit on your desk, and there are two eyes with a camera behind it, as well as microphones, speakers, a head that sink all around, and a pair of antenna for robot mines. It is designed to come with some preset apps, but also allows people to create their own apps that can run locally through open source software.
Finally, the throat face would like to develop a network of apps for Reach Money. Even Wolf described Reich Mani as “a little empty iPhone”, pointing out how large he understands the market.
Since the launch, the Reach Mini has gone viral, thanks to its friendly and open design, but it also has a relatively accessable price point that allows consumers to test AI -powered robots this year. Wolf says this is an important part of the launch. Wolf describes Reich Mani as an entry point so that consumers stay comfortably with robots in their home, and gain their confidence. I was initially a skeptic of Reich Money, but I started coming around. I think it is fun to embrace the vision of the Wolf and the AI device, and it seems that source software for children or people knowing open source software about space. There is a good way. Wolf also says he is interested in seeing whether people will voice code apps for their robots, I am attracted to it and are a little scared of it.
