From the amazingly reasonable pricing point, from amazing, commercial -style design, I can’t wait for a depth test to raise your hand on this new machine to find out if it is one of the best espresso machines. But there is a feature that has worried me, and this is a circular LCD display.

I am not sold on the small screen
When I reviewed fellow Eden coffee maker last year, I had an important complaint about its design, and this is the user interface. It’s far beyond a deadly flaw – the machine is currently sitting at the top of my best coffee maker guide, and I use it every morning – but the combination of dial and circular display was a common complaint among many fellow fans.
His complaints lack the Chief ‘Back’ button. On Eden, this means that you need to scroll back to the left to cancel or replace something. If you have scrolled up to 10 cups, just to realize that you are using a medium roast instead of a dark roast, you have to scroll back 1 cup before you get the option to go back. And if you want to compile a profile, you will need to scroll through the entire alphabet. So why has a partner add the same interface to the Aspresso Series 1?
Manimalism is central to the brand’s morals, as is removing all the factors that come between you and a good cup of coffee. On the launch video of the fellow, the machine is described “smooth and inviting, without unnecessary buttons or disorder.
You can say this again. In addition to the dial, there are only three buttons on this machine: for one espresso, for one steam and for a warm water. Perhaps this is not aesthetically difficult to add the “back” button to the lineup, but I see the appeal of the latest coffee maker to mirror Eden’s design.
I am still very passionate
It cannot be denied that the fellow espresso series 1 offers a highly set of cost -FEATures features. I can’t even think of a single machine in the market that can make this machine in less than $ 1,500.

Taking indications from Eden, the partner brings the same profile technology to series 1. This allows you to set custom dose, proportion, temperature, pre -infusion and more. Being fair with a partner, you do not need to use the dial to do any of it. You can connect your machine with an app that will allow you to download custom settings designed to form with beans available on fellow drops, and set your own basepic preferences. Therefore, please, you do not need to scroll through the entire alphabet on your LCD screen.
I have no doubt that this machine is about to change the game, but I will check it myself at the London Coffee Festival next week. Keep my first hand on impression.
