It is difficult to sleep during the heatwave. Now, imagine sleeping in the car during the heatwave and you will begin to imagine that during my six nights at the Glaston Berry Festival I slept (very well insulated) in Campro.
Being the UK’s camp, it is designed to maintain the maximum heat to help sleeping in common cold nights in England. Therefore, when an unprecedented wave of 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Faren Height) affects the Farm Festival site, it becomes a sharp ton of cans.
However, as the Editor of the Tom Guide in Sleep, I had some tricks of my sleeve to help me and my husband get cool and get good sleep (as it may be at a fair) after night.
Our Glastinbury Festival is established
When I have camped in Glastonbury’s tent and enjoyed it before, I am surprisingly grateful for this year’s festival to borrow my mother -in -law.
There is a small double bed inside the van, not long enough to sleep. This means that you have to sleep. Other than the front driver seat, there is no windows, so the flow of air can be difficult.
Considering the prediction, it seems that we are for a warm, before we stock up on the top sleep gear to help us in the next six nights.
How did I beat the heat and slept at the Glaston Breari Festival
Added a touch of luxury with bamboo beds and pajamas
When I was expecting a cold night as the last time I attended the festival, I still brought with me with bamboo beds and pajamas because they could keep you warm and cool.
And I’m glad I did. As a natural material, it is worth breathing, which means it does not trap heat, such as some artificial material. It is also moisture fraud, so it can help remove sweat from your body, and keep you fresh.
As you can imagine, it was a godsend in a festival when shivers are limited. Bamboo also has a silky soft feeling which means that you can feel comfortable and comfortable at night without much heat.
I chose a beautiful Yu London pajama set, and every night I was waiting for them to slip, enjoying my little luxury, which helped me go through the rest of the festival.
Kept comfortable with cooling diet
One of my hints for someone at a festival is that if you can, bring a diet or a comphor. Being able to wrap with a real diet instead of slipping gold bag is worth increasing my opinion and extra weight.
And you think it looks too hot, but my husband and my husband decided to take my silent night’s Air Max Dawut. It is a double -layered comarth with mesh panels that allows the air to flow through it.
So, when most of the night I didn’t need any covers, I still feel comfortable without sweating.
Added comfort with the cooling mattress tapper
Well, I know it looks like I’m doing ‘glympling’ at the moment, but I’m the editor of the sleep features.
Me and my husband used to sleep in the van for a night or two before, like the side sleepers, we both woke up with a dead hip at night because how strong the bed was.
Therefore, before Glastonbury, we ordered the Alimos dual layer a three -inch memory foam mattress topper.
The best mattresses add some cotton to your bed without compromising on support, and this is what Alimos did for us.
Although the memory foam usually trapped heat, the surgery mattress topper uses a gel foam that is better than allowing heat to be removed and off the body. In fact, Alimius claims that the top is reduced by 50 % in sweat.
It was certainly not felt that it had trapped the heat, and since we were more comfortable, we were not tossing and turning all night, working in sweat. Result? In the morning it is amazingly comfortable.
The daytime was closed
Once we were at the fair, we did not return to the van during the day, so there was no reason for us to keep the curtains open. But that also meant that we could not keep the door or window open for air flow.
Therefore, our best condition was to keep the van more and more dark to prevent heat construction throughout the day.
Although it didn’t necessarily have it ‘cool’, it certainly worked to avoid rising temperatures.
When we returned to the van late at night, the temperature had dropped slightly and when we opened the door, we were not welcomed with a hot air wave.
My other important points to sleep in festivals
Even without a heatwave, sleeping at a festival can be almost impossible. Here are some of my main points here for quality comfort.
Get Blackout Sleep Mask
I never used a sleepy mask before, just because I like to wake up in natural daylight. However, when the sun rises at 4 in the morning and I just got to bed just a few hours ago, I thought it was better to delay this light!
I used a mulberry silk sleeping mask that fits around the head and is slightly bold to avoid stress around your eyes.
Even if it came at night and I woke up very quickly, it was never too far away and as soon as I kept it back, I managed to get a few hours of precious sleep.
Invest in the correct air plug
I am going to travel a festive festival and sleep with a scorching husband, so as you can imagine, air plugs are essential.
After using foam air plugs for years, despite their ears hurting and damaging, I wanted to use a soft, low disposable option.
I tried the Loop Quet 2 Air Plugs, which was better than the foam, but they didn’t stop so much sound to help me avoid Glaston Berry.
This time, I tried and affected Alpine Silence Air Plugs. He stayed in my ears until morning and he stopped so much that I was unaware of this chaos every night.
Now, the Alpine option can’t work for you and the loop, it is worth trying some options so you can find the best pair for yourself.
I go to sleep
I never lie and usually I never advise anyone that sleep is the key to quality relaxation as a permanent schedule. Even at the end of the week, regardless of how long I have been to bed, I will wake up between 7am and 8am.
But this Glastin Berry, I forced myself to sleep in the morning as long as possible.
For me, I am worried that if I am lying, I miss the festival – but realisticly, no more before 12 o’clock. Therefore, instead of waking up quickly and waiting for your peers, it is better to take something else closed.
Therefore, leave the alarm and help some quiet breathing exercises to help sleep in the morning.
