If I focus on these 2 features I would upgrade to Galaxy Watch 8

I have used several smart watches throughout my career, switching to devices to meet my changing preferences. However, one of the smart watch I always returned is my Galaxy Watch 4. Now made with a galaxy smartphone, it has become the center of my ecosystem.

The first new generation of Samsung’s dress was launched in OS Watch 2021. Now, about four years later, I still feel very tempting to upgrade. When the clock is starting to show its age, as its outline shows the outer, it still serves me along with a fitness tracker and a smartphone partner.

What do you get to upgrade to the Galaxy Watch 8 series?

With the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8, starting in a few weeks, I will usually be anxious to see new features and progress, but recent launches are decreasing. I have noticed that only two upgrades will really enhance the Samsung Smart Watch experience and remove me from my Galaxy Watch 4. They are unable to shine or market, but they reduce every other experience able to wear.

Two basic upgrades, one much better smart watch experience

It is safe to say that my Galaxy Watch 4 is no longer as effective as it did. I could continue the battery for three days between charges in its early days. In 2025, I can barely get two days per charge. Even I have tried to eliminate more performance and endurance through better use of Samsung routines.

Of every possible improvement, increasing the smart watch battery capacity is an easy win.

Although I expect the Galaxy Watch 8 to have a Galaxy Watch 4 more efficient chip set and large battery, but the Galaxy Watch 7 is definitely – I need to see significant improvement to be convinced to upgrade. The Galaxy Watch 7 battery capacity is about 18 % larger than my device, but this OnePlus Watch is 3 to 49 % smaller, one of the OS battery Kings.

Demanding more battery life is a commonplace, but for good reason. Each portable product requires recharging. As long as we can delay this inevitable device, the device has long been in use. This is more important for smart watchs than smartphones. Long battery life means collecting more time and data on my wrist. Of every possible improvement, increasing the smart watch battery capacity is an easy win.

The accuracy of the baseline data affects everything, including the Big Ticket AI features.

Then there is another basic concern: fitness tracking accuracy. More reliable tracking allows me to make decisions about my health. If my Samsung clock shows that I don’t have a deep sleep, but my fitt bit senses 2 and other devices indicate plenty, can I really trust the galaxy? This becomes even more important when considering other matrix that relies on sleep data, such as energy scores and Samsung’s sleep AI properties.

The accuracy of baseline data affects everything. Improving accuracy may not be sales like an antioxidant index or running coach, but this is much more important.

Will the Galaxy Watch 8 be one?

So, can I trust Samsung to deal with these two aspects? To be fair, he has advanced with the latter. Last year, a new biotic sensor landed with a Galaxy Watch 7, which improved its tracking accuracy compared to his predecessor. Although we won’t see any other major sensor upgrades this year, I expect the knowledge acquired from Watch 7 will go towards improving the software that rule it.

If Samsung can prove its keen focus on these two basic principles, the Galaxy Watch 8 will be my next smart watch.

As far as my battery life concerns are concerned, it seems that Samsung is the biggest weakness in her mobile technologies. It is reluctant to adopt silicon carbon batteries for its smartphones and there is no exception for its smartwatch. Without this jump, I do not see how the company can make a meaningful benefit to power without increasing the size of its watches. He said, I hope for one, and with three possible models this year, the store may be surprised.

I will likely need a new smart watch soon with the Galaxy Watch 4 software support window. If Samsung removes my concerns, that new device can be the Galaxy Watch 8. Thankfully, without a packed drawing, it will not be too much day before making this decision.
