When Becky Edgun left her leading role in manufacturing, she was not making any new start. She wanted to make her inheritance from generation to generation. He started his career by his father, working in Dutin, Ohio, Tooling and Machine Business. But when his family sold the business, he found himself working as a CEO under the new property and nothing was well.
Edgran explains, “Once you become a business owner, it’s really difficult to go back and work for someone.” Businessman.
She realized that she no longer wants to grow someone else’s dream. She wanted to make a long time for her family – and not only a business, but her daughters could take a day’s lead.
“I made a decision that I would like to find something for myself and my three daughters, something I could turn into a family business.”

Finding the right business
From the beginning, Edgran was thinking long -term. He started searching for a business to buy and bought a small independent recovery company from a friend nearby.
“I didn’t even know what the restoration was,” Edgun says. “But I knew I wanted something I could grow in a multi -generation business.”
When the deal came at the last minute, she continued to look, eventually inquiring on Proklein in 2007. With no advance experience in the rehabilitation, the Edgran recognized the franchise system, which offered the structure and scales, which required it to speed up.
She says, “I didn’t have any basin, had no knowledge of the industry.” “The franchising gave me a foundation, and Procline gave me a roadmap.”

Making a 3 -year plan
He purchased two porchinic areas in 2008, finally intending to bring his three daughters, each of whom had his career. Together, they developed a three -year plan to do so. The middle daughter joined the first operation manager, followed by the youngest of her marketing. Finally, her oldest daughter quit her corporate job to handle the accounting.
Mighty, they have increased the business in an operation of about $ 2.5 million, which served a team of about 20 employees in the Daton-Sinchay region. But running a family business is not without challenges. Edgun says the determination of clear boundaries and the prescribed characters is the key to success and seriousness.
She says, “Family business can be either the best thing that ever happens or the worst.” “Without setting clear expectations and limits, it can cause destruction.”
Despite the 24/7 of the restoration of the limits, there is a strict prohibition on work conversation during personal time. At family gatherings, the daughter who is on the call may have to back down to deal with the job, but once she returns, the boundaries of the business conversation end.
She says, “You have to be deliberately about to separate the work from home.” “Otherwise, it eats everything – and in the same place anger can arise.”

To change the industry
Edgran leadership has helped change the impression in an industry that does not always welcome women. Rehabilitation, such as the manufacturing sector she came, is very influenced by the male, especially when it comes to ownership and fieldwork.
Initially, Adren considered himself less, especially at job locations. She remembers an example at the beginning of her career when she arrived at the mold inspection with her ladder and tools, which is ready to work. “An elderly couple responded to the door,” she says. “They saw me past for someone else.”
Then came the comment that would continue with him.
“I explained everything, answered all his questions, and, before leaving, I asked if I could do anything else for them. He said, Yes – Send a man next time“Edguns miss.” I just laughed out, OK, I’m getting you all the best.“
Such moments could shake his confidence – but instead, Edgran bowed. Through his character as a chair Porterman’s growth groupIt has made its mission to help other women to gain confidence in the rehabilitation industry. The group, which began more than a decade ago as a small support circle, now includes franchise owners, spouses, and female leaders from this brand.
“It started with women who only need to support each other. Now, it is about strategies, marketing, obtaining services, profit.” “We have a powerful relationship.”
His efforts did not pay any attention to the Procin.
Margaret Chibat, Vice President of Purocaline’s Account Management, said Businessman This adir has “performed the best representing our brand – an unprecedented commitment to integrity, flexibility, and exaggeration.”
“Their leadership has been playing a vital role in shaping our network culture through their role in the business of both businesses, both in business and under the guidance of the Porromin’s Growth Group,” says Chiibat.
Edgran believes that the change toward more women entering the franchise, especially in the blue collar or field service business, is partly due to this growing support system. “Some women feel reluctant to jump into industries like rehabilitation because they have never been encouraged to achieve growth. We are changing it.”

To work with a family
If you are considering starting a business with your children, Edgran has some hard -earned suggestions: Start the role and expectations quickly and treat them as professionals.
“You have to allow them to make mistakes,” she says. “They learn like this. If you try to save them from every failure, you are pushing them behind – and possibly business.”
She also encourages potential franchises to create a strong support network outside her family. She says, “Your bad days are going away, and you need someone to tilt it that is not emotionally connected to a business.” “Whether it is another franchise or a guardian, it can make all the difference from an external point of view.”
