We raised the world of structure and surveillance. Honors track in the sixth grade. College Advisor at Middle School. He said that every choice can follow us forever. Before the stories were made, our lives resumed. And now, this pressure meets the world of unlimited powers. Dozens of delivery apps, algorithmic content rows, and dating profiles that never end. Every decision feels as if it needs to be right, so we don’t really make.
In all this careful planning and inactive scroll, we have left the dirty mid. Strange jobs, confused relationships, sharp decisions. The things that made our parents realize their best stories, their flexibility and their own. Those memories were not disturbed, they were substances. They made life able to live and they prepared them for everything the next.
