Jane had never seen memories as fixed. To him, they were flexible, such as the stress of light woven over time. In the archives of forgotten faces, he worked alone, surrounded by a shelf of pictures of pictures of the hidden and blurred panic – everyone shines with pieces of his life that breaks his whole story. During the day, he handled the glass plates that had over -liping identities – handled the faces that were once neighbors, enemies, loving. At night, Jane fed these photos to her customs built machine: a box of copper wires, whisper circuits, and mirror sheards. The device did not repair the photo. He added time. One evening, Jane suffered a portrait named after her namelessly: “Jay Elson.” She was her own mother. But the face was not single – it was a comprehensive, a fusion of two lives.
