When it comes to gestures, many users (comfortable and expert) write more than needed and start with wrong mistakes. Many users are already explaining more than intelligent chat boots or adding details that are not just related to it.
Like most users, when I first started using Chat GPT, I added additional details or used full sentences and appropriate grammar, just to ensure that the chatboat understood me. This is a duplicate move because usually the context of understanding chat boats are really good.
Here is a little well-known secret-a literal indication often causes the chat boot to lose the mark, which is why a 3-word promot is going to go to me and works so well.
When it comes to directing your chat boot, short, 5 to 7-safety work mostly with the “command prompt”.
1. Short indicator win
Indicating the words: “Can you help me write an article about the best budget security cameras under $ 100, including some models that have a knight vision and work well for outdoor use?”
Comprehensive Pympt: “Compare budget security cameras under $ 100.”
Result? Fool, common answers often remember this point fully. According to 2024 AI Index from Stanford and Open AI:
- Show short indicator (under 12 words) 22 % more accuracy
- There are answers 40 % faster
- Less “I don’t know” or incomplete answers
And in my own test, short indicators give permanently fast, more concentrated answers.
2. Start with verbs
Instead of a long -running application, choosing the best word to start with users is a clear process. In other power words, here are some of my favorite:
- Summary
- Compare
- Write again
- List
- Specify
It tells the chatgott exactly what you want, which eliminates the estimation (and the possibility of error).
Instant 1: “Can you help me compare the best summer dishes for the backyard Barbie Ki?
Instant 2: “Compare easier side dishes for the backyard barback.”
You can see that the short, low -words gesture with clear action produces better, more concentrated results. Consumers have become accustomed to chatting with their chat boots, which can lead to excessive function in their indications.
But many use, it is not necessary.
3. Add obstacles later
Instead of filling everything in a big sign, I make a step -by -step step.
First indication: “Make a list of 3 famous types of shoes running shoes.”
Follow -up: “Now add only brands under only $ 150.”
Next: “Summarize their best features.”
This makes the conversation naturally flows – and makes it easier to get better on the fly.
Bonus: China Simple Indications
Avoid the general error of filling out too much information immediately with this simple fix.
Instead of this indicator:
“Explain quantum computing such as I am 12, using metaphors but not to explain it, and add real world applications.”
Try this quick chain:
“Explain quantum computing in one sentence.”
“Now add a metaphor.”
“Give 3 use matters.”
By making a simple indicator chain, now I get clear, more accurate results – and avoid “AI, I can’t …”.
When long indicators still work
Of course, there are times when long indicators are worth it – especially for creative tasks:
- Roll playing: “Work as a sarcastic IT specialist in my lazy PC diagnosis.”
- Creative Writing: “Write the story of Nair about the hacker in 1995.”
- Style matching: “To describe the sunset, follow the style of the hammingway.”
In these cases, additional details help AI to adopt the right accent, vision or personality.
Down line
Since adopting these 3 simple rules, I have saved time on additional quick writings and got high quality reactions with very few frustration.
There is nothing worse when the answer is incomplete or AI off topic responds. If you have ever received an answer that preceded the conversation has been cited and it has nothing to do with the present, you will know who I am talking about. This short quick trick will also fix it.
Long story, oh, short, chased immediately. If you start simple and build on your request, the chatboat will be able to handle your indicator. Then sit down and improve your results.
What is the lowest indicator who gave you talented results? Share in comments – I would love to try it!
