For Maroxinha

The first ray of sunlight attacked the room, when she was slowly awakened, Sarah’s face illuminated. In combination with the remote sound of the waves, the smell of the coffee coming from the kitchen, it was really back: another day, another routine. But today was different. Today, a meeting that he had been waiting for for weeks will eventually be.

Looking at the side, he saw Marco sleeping now. His face, whose time is marked over time, has taken peace, but also familiarity with the common years.

In a corner of the room, the image of the frame family drew his attention: leaving his 18 -year -old daughter, with a confident smile of youth. And the twins, always intended, with the brightness of childhood in their eyes. She was her world. And yet, he felt an empty name he could not name.

Ready to leave, Sarah looked at herself in the mirror. Simple clothing and loose hair made it lightly, almost almost as if she wanted to re -discover a small version of herself. Luka, he thought. The name was familiar, yet it was full of emotions. He was the boy whom he loved in his youth, his first love. It had been so many years, and now he was there, in his life, even by coincidence.

They met the beach at the premium. This place looked like outside the postcard: clean sky, calm sound of waves, salt scent with flowers growing near wooden benches. Luka was waiting, bent with a tree, with a similar smile, but now she also had ugly wrinkles that only accelerate her charm.

“Sarah,” he said, his tone is soft but full of a clear old memories.

“Luka,” he replied, trying to hide his panic.

They sat in a cafe on a small beach. The conversation began with hesitation, as if these words were ashamed of the weight of the years. Gradually, he remembered stories of a careless youth, joint laughter, and dreams that never came true. He talked about his life – the path he chose, the one who remembered him, the love that was not the last. He listened carefully, but without showing everything about himself.

“Are you happy, Sarah?” He asked, breaking the moment of silence.

The question left him soundless. What did happiness mean? Her children filled her heart, Marco was a loyal companion, but there was something about Luka’s presence that made her question everything.

As the afternoon began, they were passing through the city’s narrow streets, the same in the streets that they passed together for decades ago. In every corner, a memory appeared, as if the past was waiting for a re -discovery.

Only then did Sarah looked at Lena at a distance. His daughter was with friends, laughing and pointing like a young woman in the world. For a moment, their eyes were found. Laya became serious, with her mother to see her mother clearly surprised that she did not know. Sarah tried to smile, but she knew that the moment had created a fisher.

As the evening fell, they met on the beach. The sun was already painted in the hot colors of low, orange and pink colors. They sit on a rock and watch the horizon. The sound of the waves was almost HYP Samohan.

“Sometimes, I’m wondering how it would have been,” Luka said, her voice was low, almost a whisper.

Sarah did not immediately respond. Instead, he felt The weight of the choice. He looked at the city’s light at a distance, which began to shine, and imagined his children’s faces, the laughter of the twins, the calm eyes of Marco.

“Luka, don’t mean to be something. But maybe we needed this unity to understand what is – and what will never happen.”

He shook his head slowly, understand. They hugged. It was not a hug of romantic love, but farewell, acceptance.

It was already Night When Sarah arrived home. Marco was sitting on an old wooden bench, which mixed patience and understanding. She sat down with him. For a while, none of them said anything. Then, Marco put his hand on it.

“Are you okay?” He asked without looking directly to him.

Sarah responded with a small smile and a simple “yes”. Both looked Tarimi sky, while at night, the remote sound of the sea echoed.

The next day, life continued as usual. But Sarah, her heart felt deeply, more complete. Now she knew that the past was a beautiful dream, but the current was the real choice.
