Sky Dennis Interactive today announced that its upcoming action adventure game Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will no longer target the release of 2025, but instead has been shifted to the early 2026 window. The company revealed the delay in a social media post, saying the game needs “more polish” to provide the user’s best experience. This makes the second triple-A game this month in 1943, which reached 2026 after the initial planned 2025 launch window.
Sky Dennis first announced Marvel 1943 at the Game Developers Conference in 2024. It describes the game as a statement-powered action adventure game described in the title year, and has followed the adventures of Captain America and WW2-Era Black Panther, Azzuri. Sky is creating a game to cooperate with Dennis Plane, and the graphics shown in the GDC look incredibly realistic.
The studio has not yet revealed much about the story, except that the two will include two other heroes. The fact is that the game is written by Amy Henning, a former sports industry veteran, known for, among others, for an unintentional series.
This is not the first major title that has been delayed by the date of the planned 2025 launch. Earlier this month, the Rock Star Games revealed that it had set a May 2026 launch date for the Grand Stolen Auto VI. The game was actually scheduled for the autumn 2025 window. One of the side effects of such a big game that declares the release window is that other publishers appear to be reluctant to make their own announcement, lest they unintentionally come down on the same day or even the week. The miracle is unlikely to delay the 1943, but the “initial” 2026 launch window may mean that Sky Dennis plans to release it before the rock star’s juggernat.
