Lack of throw above means that you need to use digital stone
Is this… staring me?
The mainstream TV companies are occasionally suppressed in the projector market, and while Sony’s advanced models have yielded good results, other brands can have limited success. TCL, a large company that is famous for its big TV, also produces a small projector, A1, and it is a bit weird. It varies with most projectors and, while I am to try new things, the results are mixed decisively in this case.
Keeping the list of list is just $ 500 (and currently it is down $ 400 in Amazon), Its performance is very light. Some aspects of its image are decent, while others are not. Perhaps the most weird throw is lacking, which I will explain more about, but basically it means that you need to use Caston Correction. This is something I usually recommend avoiding because it leads to poor quality of icon. Meanwhile, it also packs Google TV streaming, a smart handle/stand design, and overallly, in a quite attractive look. But they only partially prepare its shortcomings.

It is always great to see 1080p in such a lower cost projector. The 360 lemon ratings are slightly lower for a projector of its size and cost, but surprisingly, this is in fact less than my measurement. I don’t remember the last time that happened. I got about 433 lemons, which is still not high, but for the budget projector, decent and splendor Mars is brighter than 3 air (252 lemons). On the contrary, the proportion was 2,522: 1 unusual, possibly due to the simple lens of the projector, and it is the most measured in a sub -$ 1,000 model. However, the shining uniformity (how bright it is in the whole image) was bad.
One aspect that you cannot take from photos is that the handle carrying the projector’s body continues. It becomes a stand and a position to fight the projector in front of the projector. This is a smart design, but it makes a different problem.
There is no lens shift or zoom, though this is not unusual for this PJ class. The unusual thing is that it lacks the throw upward. Almost every projector offers its image above its lens. Usually the result is slightly above the image or the height of the projector on the screen/wall. This allows the space to be placed on the table, at a proper height with the iconic statement. Or, by turning it (literally), offering a picture on the middle of a wall, placing the projector near the ceiling.
Lack of throwing upwards of A1 means that it mainly needs to be kept on the screen. In the recent memory, I had only the Ultrachip Wimgo P10 in any projector without lens shift. This projector, interestingly, shared several aspects of the design with A1, at least in his view the tower design.
TCL’s such A1 work decision must mean that you need to deal with trapezelic image, or to use everlasting stone correction, because keeping A1 on the floor requires you to angle the front angle to project on a wall. That is, unless you want to see half a picture on your carpet. Castone correction reduces the resolution and we usually recommend avoiding it, it is difficult to do something in this case. Is this a Dell Breaker for an inexpensive projector that does not intend to be amazing? I don’t think It’s just… weird.

It has Google TV, so you have access to any streaming service you want. All are regular here, such as Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime and so on. The same HDMI input allows you to connect with the game console.
Two speaker drivers of 8 watts are loaded inside A1. This sound is amazingly good. It is much more boss, and the tugna is mostly smooth and easy to hear than most projectors, even more than them. Even the sound plays in a loud sound, though in large quantities it breaks a bit and the bass decreases, but it is quite common for such devices. You can use it as a bit bigger portable speaker. If you want more, there is a 3.5 mm headphone jack so you can connect to an analog.
Compare the quality of the image
Ankar Nebula Mars 3 Air is one of my favorite Portable Projector. It’s a bit smaller than A1, and is a bit more expensive, but enough. Epson EF21 looks like it is aimed at the market, which has a small size and built -in streaming. Nevertheless, the list of Epson is very high at $ 900, though it is regularly 50 650, which is much more reasonable to get you. I linked each of them to a monopresy 1×4 distribution amplifier and saw them on a 102 -inch, 1.0 -gun screen.
Epson is even brighter than the other two projectors, even in its very accurate mode. Keep it in its dynamic style and you take a slight hit of image quality, but then it is bright. However, on the contrary, the proportion is bad enough, so the darkest parts of its icon are brighter than the darkest parts of the TCL and the images of Ankar. It also looks flat compared to them. The black bars are very bright brown in the letter boxed films. TCL seems to be the most contradictory so far. Generally, it will be a slim sting compared to the head -to -head, but other aspects of the icon have eliminated it.
The color is probably the place where they all look different. Epson looks quite natural, which produces much more pleasant and more accurate image. That is why, as I mentioned in his review, it looks better than his number. The sword is okay in terms of color. Nothing seems clearly strange, but it lacks the accuracy of Epson.
TCL is not very good. Its colors, here together, are less dynamic than others. Red and green are particularly significantly influenced. For example, Thor: During the shining colors of the “Welcome to the Cause” in Ragnrok, TCL’s reds were more pink than others. Is it so far away that you see it and think “Is there something wrong?” No, but it makes a little impressive image. Generally, color is not as important as the glow and vice versa, but correct, as it is evidenced by Epson, can help a lot.
Although the opposite of the swing is better than Epson, it also crushes the shadow details, which in fact looks more artificial to its image. This is equivalent to editing a picture, so the bags under someone’s eyes are even more prominent. TCL’s impressive contrast ratio is all heavy lifting here. However, the lack of uniformity of brightness results in a strange look. The corner of the iconic corner is much deeper than the center, so it is almost like to see everything through a Vengate filter.
Therefore, despite the proportion of proportion, Epson is the most visible in these three. However, here’s a huge warning, before you click on this review, keep in mind that I am deciding the three based on the idea that you can get Epson in 50 650, according to this writing. If Epson is actually $ 900, which is high for its performance, TCL will be easy choice. Nevertheless, there is nothing difference in $ 150- $ 250, and TCL’s better speakers are a solid “value aid”.
Is this… looking at me?
On the one hand, I like this new (-) race of cheap but capable projectors. Google has been a real game changer in the TV category. I like the idea of a small device in which you can pull a shelf and spend a quick night of the film with the same cable and minimal turmoil. Although you can get more performance than that, which means a big, bright, better -looking icon for the projector, just for a little more money, now everything is “a little more money”, so why not save a little bit of comfort?
Keeping this in mind, I am still not fully sold at A1. It’s a little… weird. I’m not against the strange. I am Strange handle/stand is a smart design. The speakers are perfect for a projector. Size is right. The colors of the picture are not fine, but I have seen worse. Its brightness is fine and on the contrary is terrific. For me, though, I will just feel difficult to stay with it. I hate the correction of the cottage because that means you are losing the resolution.
For those who do not care about it, or plan to use it comfortable (or children), it is larger than Apson or anchor, and it is also $ 100 to 250 more expensive. Therefore, A1 is generally good enough for its cost and desired use. It’s better than Samsung freestyle, I’ll give it it.
