TCLQM 7 has a bright, colorful image and gaming friendly TV led by a wonderful middle -range Money, but its performance is not as impressive as QM8K.

- Impressive HDR sparkle
- Best Google TV operating system
- High vrr capabilities
con
- Off -angle and bright room watching problems
- Only two HDMI 2.1 ports
- Poor audio

The QM8 is the TCL flagship model in 2025, and, in turn, you will pay more prices for its performance and features than the QM7.

- Problems with viewing off -axis
TCL’s 2025 TV lineup is about as much value as it is. Even this year under the brand’s high mini, TCLQM 8, its class has competitive price.
In keeping with this, it can be especially difficult to choose between the TCL’s top set and its middle range, between TCL QM7.
Lucky for you, I have been tracking these TVs since their official start to the CES earlier this year. Here the flagship QM8K compares to the low -cost QM7K.

Processor | AIPQ Pro Processor | AIPQ Pro Processor |
Not surprisingly, these siblings are exactly the same. There are two major differences to highlight: size availability and ATSC support.
If you are shopping for 55 -inch TV, you can stop reading. The TCL QM8K starts at a 65 -inch sized point. All other sizes of these series are shared.
In addition, QM8K supports ASC 3.0 while QM7K does not. The 4K broadcasts are still very few and there, but if you plan to make your next TV with a great antenna you can buy and you want to take advantage of 4K broadcast, QM8K will take you there.
TCL QM7K vs TCL QM8K: Design

These sets are the same in their design point of view, but there are some things here to highlight.
The above image is on the back of QM7K. Adjusting TV’s internal hardware, Litts exit its chassis center. As a result, the input cuts sit alongside the coarse side of the panel instead of the cut -out, which makes the contacts easier while the QM7 is on the wall.
The following is the back of QM8K. It is almost the same in every way, but its inputs remain in partial cutout.

QM8K is slightly thinner than his younger siblings, though both TVs are just as sharp as TV led by other semen in their own classes.
The only other distinction of the notable design includes their remote control. I am glad to report that both models arrive at their clicks with back lettuce buttons, which helps greatly while watching the black room.
However, I find QM8K’s remote a little rating. Its thin, silver tin shape holds the eye, feels good to use and the property with unnecessary buttons does not waste the real estate.
However, there is no difference in the design category between the two TVs to declare any winner.

TCL QM7K vs TCL QM8K: Performance

Before we provide these TVs better image standards, let’s take a look at how their test results compare to each other.
| Header cell – column 0 | TCL QM7K | TCL QM8K |
|---|---|---|
SDR sparkle (10 %, in nets) | 132 | 231 |
Delta-A (Lower is better) | 1.4 | 2.7 |
HDR sparkle (10 %, in nets) | 1,734 | 3,333 |
UHDA-P3 Gamt Coverage | 96.98 % | 97.28 % |
Rick 2020 Gamt Coverage | 79.22 % | 80.11 % |
Input latanesei (mill sec) | 13.1 | 13 |
When you perform this pair of mini -led TV, one thing is clearly clear: QM8K is a very bright TV.
During everyday content (such as basic cables, over the air broadcasts and sports) its full screen brightness is not only high, with QM8 bright during HDR movies, shows and sports.
Its HDR highlights are almost double double that you will see with the QM7, which means that the small, concentrated area of shine will look true for life on QM8, which will increase the overall depth of the picture.

QM8K takes advantage of a bright, more manifest row of mini -led back lights.
This advantage also goes beyond the specific lighting light, as QM8 offers a modest color volume (though QM7K is slightly better out of the box in its highly accurate picture mode).
There is nothing else to say about how these two sets are compared. QM8K takes advantage of a bright, precise ranks of back lights led by the MINI mini -mini -mini -mini -mini -mini -mini, and if you choose the brand flagship model on its middle distance option, it is basically your payment.
Winner: TCL QM8K
TCL QM7K vs TCL QM8K: Smart Platform and Features
Here is some good news: These two TVs are already installed with Google TV. I also appreciate the Google TV operating system for its simple, sharp interface, and most of my colleagues in the Tom Guide.
There is enough sponsorship and recommended content to compete with the home screen, but this is about every smart platform. In addition, Google’s app is one of the best in the library game, so you do not have the risk of flowing goods for flow.

Want something good news? QM7K and QM8K both offer the most important features needed for current generation consoles: HDMI 2.1 compatibility and support for 4K gaming on 120Hz. If you connect them to the gaming PC, they will also support 4K titles up to 144Hz.
Both set variables offer refresh rate (VRR) and auto -latanese mode (ALLM) as well as AMD freesync Premium Pro.
The only major difference in features that you can worry about is that QM8 supports Wi -Fi 6 while QM7 supports Wi -Fi 5.

Every category in this face has either gone in favor of QM8K or has ended in a draw. Although it may be convinced that QM8K is a clear choice, it is possible to end on the opposite result: that QM7K is a better choice.
Yes, QM8 has a thrilling bright TV-in fact, one of the bright mini-led TVs of this year. However, QM7K is almost every way like his older siblings. It supports the same smart features, almost all reaches with the same gaming -related features and, from a design point of view, looks almost identical.
I am not joking when I say that QM8K’s Swanker’s remote control is probably the third or fourth most important difference between the two models.
Keeping this in mind, let’s talk about QM7K’s most distinguished feature: its thrilling low price than QM8K.
Right now, 65 inch QM 7K in Amazon is only $ 898. On the other hand, 65 inch QM8K is 4 1,499Which is still $ 300 below its MSRP.
People with extraordinary bright residential places should definitely consider bright, bold performance associated with QM8K. For viewers who are looking for the best possible picture.
If you want to maximize your dollar, however, I have a hard time not recommending QM7K.
