Leaders often feel the pressure that the right answer, the perfect plan, the flawless implementation. But in a high -minded environment, people are not looking for perfection. They are looking for stability. They want to know that someone is paying attention, making decisions and is busy, even when the path forward is not clear.

That is the thing of presence: It indicates reliable in the world of chaos. When confidence is difficult to come, it creates confidence. And it anchor the teams through uncertainty.

In our industry, technical skills can find you in the room, but the real presence keeps this agreement alive. This allows you to ask you when matters go wrong without fear of labeling a fool. This is the same thing that gives your team confidence to work without other assumptions. That is why people live especially in high demand and pressure sectors.

The fiction of the remote

The old school -led model glorified the distance. Leaders once rely on the corner’s office, hiding behind a closed door and relying on the undeniable command of the command to get respect. But the world has changed, and this model no longer works. It is expected that leaders are expected to be available today without depriving the eyes of the suppressed, without micro -management, and the wider company’s mission.

Presence is especially powerful for female leaders

For women in leadership, the presence is often misunderstood. We have been told to “speak more and more,” “Take” and “Command the room.” But authentic presence, as we have learned, is less about performance, our values, our priorities and the foundation of our responsibilities.

When female leaders are explanatory and calm, it disrupts expectations – especially in places where we are offered. It changes energy and helps to focus on a company’s work mission, vision and wider effects.

And in many environments, it also opens the door for others for different sympathy, more newborn and more deeply.

How to cultivate real presence

Like most things in life, presence is also an exercise and habit that is better over time. Like any exercise, it also needs deliberate effort. Over time, I learned that there are some easy ways to do:

  • Be available when it is most important. Do not just show for good times – show for shock.

  • Listen more than speak, especially when stress runs more. The presence is about making a place for others.

  • Answer, don’t respond. People take notice when you are under pressure. It produces psychological safety for them and for a wide group.

  • Stay permanent. In your values, your tone and you follow. Unexpected leaders, while the short -term are allegedly effective, lose confidence and confidence in the long term.

  • Take your time in people. This is where loyalty, insight and innovation come.

In a world where the basic goals of pursuing speed, scale and mutation are known, the presence of comparisons can feel slow or soft. But do not understand its strength less.
