This 2019 Android Phone Crazy Camera Setup is still magical today

I admire great smartphones that advance the limits of something possible and sensible. Sometimes these gambling are conquered, and those devices become the basis for future innovations. We saw plenty of it in the late 2010’s when companies were not afraid to experience. Although it is a fair part of the critics, my favorite example was the Cam Crazy Nokia 9 Purewave.

It was forgotten in my obsolete tech drawer until I did not dust it, and popped it in my pocket for a recent road trip. I wanted to see if this old Nokia Android phone was still able to use in 2025, and I am very happy that I had it.

I remember when this expensive camera was launched in MWC 2019. He left me a huge impression. His biggest sale point was his crazy rear imaging system, which uses five rear cameras – two colors and three monochromes to make a single shot. Although this method has its advantages, such as theoretically vibrant dynamic range, super entertainment Bokia adjustment, and sufficient information of light, it also has little space of flexibility. As a result, the Purewave loses a dedicated zoom lens and ultra -wide camera.

The lack of these specific lenses may feel like a problem, but this is the main reason why I enjoyed using Pure View. I can’t close the articles closely or increase my canvas on the screen button. Beyond the camera system, the Nokia 9 Pure View has some commendable, sensible features that still shine six years later. It is made uniquely stable and firmly made, and I like how compact it looks in my hand, especially compared to today’s big phone. It made it easier to carry a secondary phone in the small summer of the mountain city. The screen is quite obvious to become a reliable view Finder in the bright light.

But this is just about the definitions I can afford to give. The Pure View was arranged to fail from the beginning. He launched a year old chip set, a malicious fingerprint sensor, and barely large battery for use of a camera. I also miss the lack of microSD card slot, because the phone is aimed at producing high quality media.

Although the stock Android is a Datuxes welcome to an UI, Android 10 is clearly a go -go in 2025. As a result, it is a terrifying daily driver, especially holiday. If you all need a phone, you will be better offended in 2025 with a more affordable Android phone than the Nokia 9 Purewave.

And yet, despite its obvious flaws and shortcomings, I cannot help but be charming with Puri View, even if only used as a digital camera. Scroll through my Google Photo Roll, I can easily pick up my shots with Nokia because everyone has a story that I remember fondly. They are more than just a great picture.

Like a film camera, it is an experience to see the world through its lenses. I’m not saying for a minute that it’s the best camera phone ever, which has dropped modern mirrors from Google, Samsung and Oppo, but I can say that in the years I have enjoyed the most with camera phones.
