Xiaomi is usually one of the first smartphone makers who launches a flagship with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Chip every year. Although the company is on the way to launching a smartphone chasset this month, its future flagship Snapdragon will continue to present the 8 series chips.
Qualcomm and Xiaomi have a long -standing partnership, and companies are celebrating 15 years of cooperation this year. To celebrate this milestone, the brand consists of “a multi -year contract to guide innovation with premium smartphones”.
As part of the deal, the Xiaomi Snapdragon will continue to present a flagship phone containing 8 series chips. Like the previous years, it will be one of the first smartphone OEM to adopt the next generation Snapdragon 8 series chip in September this year’s Snapdragon Summit, immediately after the unveiled Snapdragon.
Since Qualcomm is hosting the Snapdragon Summit earlier this year, we expect Xiaomi to unveil its next general flagship phone a month before normal. So far, we have not seen any information about this device, but we expect the details will be revealed in the coming months.
Xumi says his partnership with Qualcomm will go beyond smartphones. Companies will cooperate to progress in automotive, AR/VR, wearing, and bullets, and we can expect to see the results of this partnership over the next several years.
