A Facebook PostTSA has warned that they are the most important places of hunting for station data and identification thieves, thanks to an exercise called “Jose Jacking”. According to the TSA post, “hackers can install malware on USB ports (we have been told that it is called ‘juice/port jacking’). So, when you are at the airport, do not plug your phone directly into a USB port.”

However, you do not need to die your devices. TSA writes: “Bring power brick or battery pack according to your TSA and plug there.” Power outlets cannot be hacked with the help of USB ports, so you can recharge safely without any hassle.
The TSA has also warned about the risks of Wi -Fi hacking.
The agency has warned that “do not use free public Wi -Fi, especially if you are planning to make purchases online. Never enter any sensitive information using unsafe Wi -Fi,” the agency has warned if passengers should use cellular or enable VPN when connected to WiFi.
