What was your day job or basic profession when you started your side histl?
I was working in retail in Walmart e -commerce, managing category and supply chain for beauty and costumes. It was fulfilled in rapid, high pressure and many ways-but over time, over time, the lack of real food and stress started to toll my body and brain.

When did you start stirring your side, and where did you get inspired for it?
Niramia began to form in 2020 during the burnout and health struggle season. I was dealing with chronic, undesirable autoimmune conditions and could not get answers. I quit my job and turned to the Nutrition School – and through that, I re -discovered the healing strength of these foods: dynamic dals, functional spices, vegetables made of fresh vegetables. I realized that the recipes, which passed through races, were medicines in myself, and still, I could not find them on any shelf that felt clean, easy or modern. This distance between culture and convenience, tradition and today became the basis of Niramaia.

Did you take some first steps to get your team off the ground? How much money/investment did it get at its inception?
I played in my kitchen, playing with recipes, taking serious feedback and testing the initial version in local markets. I knew I couldn’t do this by coincidence, so I saved about $ 50,000 in two years to withstand the minimum order quantity for my first co -manufacturer. I did a tireless research, made hundreds of phone calls, and eventually found a colleague who was associated with our mission. We developed an early packaging, launched a small website and put the real products into the hands of the people. When the magic began.

Are there any free or paid resources that were particularly helpful?
Founders, such as Startup CPG, Network and SKU Excellers, created a world of difference. Slack groups were sharp, brutally honest and incredibly supported for CPG founders. On the side of the tools: The idea of tracking everything, canau for design, Quick Box for financial matters. But the most valuable resources so far? Talking face to consumers during the demo. No software can replace it.

If you can go back and change a process or point of view, what would it be?
I won’t change the way – every challenge taught me something I need. But I will make better prepare for a sheer resource drain. Budget the amount twice and give yourself time twice. Everything takes more time and costs more than you think – and it’s not a flaw: It’s just the nature of the game.

What about this side hustle business that makes you wonder or challenge?
How really capitalist retail is. Going to shelves is just the beginning-then driving speed works, educating the shopper and staying in the high mind. Another challenge was to re -education people about Indian food. Many people assume that this is just “heavy years”. But our food is very high: dynamic, clean, gut friendly, plant forward. Translating this truth through packaging, products and language has been both a challenge and privilege.

Can you miss a particular moment when something went wrong – how did you handle it?
On one of our early retail partner partners, the cost of our dips was high and was placed on the high -above shelf – which is almost invisible to the user. Instead of panic, I calmly reached the buyer with the insights of sales data and shelf psychology and offered help with demo and social posts if they would consider the review price and appointment. They agreed. The moment reminded me that being active, respected and resolving makes a long journey in retail.

How long did it take to see a permanent income?
We started to see a stable traction around nine months. We started with small independent candidates, a few regional stores and many incidents personally. It was the lower level, but it taught me how to listen, mold and scale responsibility.

How do you look today and revenue?
Today, Niramia is available in more than 1,200 retail doors across the country, including a strong base for independent candidates from Encrats, Albertson and New York City. This will be our first year in seven personalities. We are launching the new SKUs and doubling retailers who believe what we are making.

What do you enjoy running this business?
The deep creative satisfaction of the construction of something that seems true and touches people by seeing it. When someone says, “I have never tasted such a clean and bold bold thing,” I know we are doing some meaningful things. We’re not just selling food: we are changing the impression of Indian flavors and brings more people into fold.
