Why did this RN leave the hospital to start their business?

For more than 14 years, Rahil Woommak worked in health care, primarily focusing on elderly care as a registered nurse. They spend time in hospitals, long -term care and case management, watching the power and shortcomings of the health care system themselves. But as years have passed, the idea that she can do more. She just didn’t want to help patients. She wanted to provide a fix for the system difference.

She says, “Not everyone has a lot of help that they need to make these skilled people safely go home and succeed in recovering.”

The first insights

The main turning point came in 2021. His son had just graduated from high school, and Wommak was eventually in a place where it felt possible to start a business. Encouraging his fiancee, he started looking for some of his own way. Instead of starting an independent business from the beginning, he chose the search for franchising.

“I realized that I needed to do this now, so I started to research.” “I talked to several brands before I found a place in the house, what I wanted I wanted – morality, morality, all this was in line. And so I went for it.”

The decision to sign a place in Wommak’s house (#464 on 2025 franchise 500) was not just in desire. He had to detect payroll, accounting, marketing and recruitment at Nursing School – a skill you do not learn in nursing school. This process was challenging, but with the help of his education, general understanding and franchise system, he bowed to it.

She says, “I considered opening a business from the beginning, but I realized that it was more expensive to do myself.” “With all the legal status around the household care, it was a better option for the franchise, because you have your own template. It was very easy to get available.”

Particularly marketing proved to be the most difficult part. Although he had contacts in the elderly care, it was more complicated to reach the wider community. Most people did not know the services like it, or that they could be paid through long -term care insurance, VA benefits or medicids. The audience of his target was not old himself, but his adult children, many of whom were meeting careers, families and care responsibilities. This feeling shaped its point of view: make education, awareness and care accessible.

Although the business was difficult to launch, Wommic says it felt like a personal renewal. Nursing burnout took advantage of it, but business ownership gave him a new point of view and purpose. He still faces a hard day, but they are different. Now, she’s working for her clients, not for the corporate hospital system.

This difference appears in the impression that it gets. His team regularly receives calls from thankful families, and carers often make sure that the client is safe. They say that in each of them, the jump confirms the decision to take the jump into the franchise. “Every day, I am assured of my clients and careers (that) it was the right choice.”

Wommic has been able to do something that most businesses cannot do: it has created a company that is maintained and sympathetic, while increasing its annual income to more than $ 1.3 million. “Do your research and keep yourself behind,” she says. “This is an important task, whether it be skilled or personal care. Going to business is never a bad decision to help people.”

For now, Wommic focuses on extending his two places to help his team and inform families about the care options available to them. She is not watching on a rapid scale. Instead, she’s making something that remains intact – a career, family and success story at a time.
