We are told that infinite growth is a measure of success, even when our societies put pressure under inequality, environmental elimination and spiritual emptiness.
But greed is not destiny. This is not a law of human nature. This is a story that we have been told – and one has the power to rewrite.
Re -considering success
For centuries, the idea of wealth has been equivalent to raising a large amount of money. Yet the study in psychology, sociology, and economics permanently shows that after a particular point, keeping more money is not equivalent to being prosperous. On the other hand, the community, creative expression, and purpose increases feelings of happiness. Therefore, in an attempt to deal with greed, we have to explain success – not what we collect, but also as we contribute.
