When there is an important legal case about sexual abuse content with children on its platform, X is not far from the hook. On Friday, a US court’s appeal circuit judge ruled that the X Corporation once again faced claims that it was negligent in taking content of sexual abuse of children and that they had no effective reporting infrastructure for these crimes.
This decision Judge Daniel is the latest step against Twitter in 2021, before he was re -nominated on X. In this case, two minor boys were described as plaintiffs and did not eliminate their response to their reports about Twitter, now X, “and did not immediately prepare it from the platform that a Demgar had secured the plaintiff.”
A former decision with a three -judge panel unanimously decided that the X -Communication is legally immunity thanks to Section 230 of the Dansi Act, which provides extensive protection to online platforms from its users. The latest decision by Judge Force agrees with parts of the previous decision, but claims that X was negligent in the matter and that he must defend itself against the claims of legalism that it is very difficult to report the platform posted on Twitter.
According to the legalization, the matter revolves around a 13 -year -old and a 14 -year -old boy who was cheated by sexual smugglers to send sexually clear photos. The illegal content was then posted on Twitter, and a 13 -year -old filed a report against him through a Twitter report interface, as stated in detail in the case. The boy’s mother also filed a report, nothing but an automatic response, and before receiving the response, she had to follow that Twitter did not receive any violation of the policy and she would not take further action. The case claimed that Twitter finally removed the post nine days after the preliminary report, suspended the poster account and reported the material to the National Center for Missing and Exploits, which is required by federal law. How does this social media platform work with this legalism, especially if it makes it to the Supreme Court, but X will have to defend itself again against these claims in the District Court thanks to this latest decision.
