If you use AI to make art for your medium articles, you are in the same boat as someone uses AI to write for the same purpose. There is no difference. You can lie to yourself and show that is worse than each other, but this is the process: scratching people who actually worked, hours, years. You did not create anything. AI does not create. It doesn’t look like, doesn’t choose, does not sit in a room, trying to find out how to make something honestly. It only pulls the piles of things that other people have created, most of them without asking, and when you show it, throw it into your hands.
People like to excuse AI art is harmless. “This is just a picture.” No – this is a picture made of real artists, effort and creative energy. Artists who made sketches in their hands until they were tight. Who saved the gear for years? Who learned to shoot, light, paint, attract, edit, present. People who sacrificed real things – time with their family, they have no money, health – the work that steals from these models. It is not neutral. It is not a victim. You just don’t see the victims because they are buried under your indications.
It is funny how people are fake about being fake, being soulless, but there is no problem that they can affix the AI ​​generation…
