Hey Product Hunt, I’m Jeremy, and I created Window.
I have this problem: I check the weather before I run, see “60% chance of rain”, then look at the hourly graph to try to figure out when 60% will actually survive in the next three hours. I’ll reopen the app three more times before exiting. Sometimes I quit too early. Sometimes I would get caught up in it anyway.
Windows is the weather app I’ve been wanting. Choose your activity — walk, run, bike, drive, or eat out — and it scores the next few hours and tells you with an on-screen argument whether to go, wait, or skip it. Each recommendation refers to weather factors you can already see: rainfall, wind, temperature, visibility, alerts. A light drizzle that’s fine for the drive is flagged for outdoor dining.
The engine is fixed and principle-based. There is no AI guessing on the forecast. LLMs help in parsing answers to questions and phrases. Data comes from OpenWeatherMap for minute-by-minute precipitation, Open-Meteo for hourly and daily forecasts, and the National Weather Service for alerts. Free, no ads.
Try it on. wyndo.app – No signup required to ask your first question. I’d love to hear what you ask him, and especially where the answer seems wrong or thin. The feedback form is a click away from anywhere in the app, and responses are fed back to Evel for future recommendations.
