Hello Product Hunt community, I developed BARKOD to solve a common friction point in packaging and web design: the visual barrier caused by standard, useful barcodes. While essential, they often feel like an afterthought in a carefully crafted brand identity. This tool is designed to bridge this gap. Using a vibe coding approach allowed me to prioritize visual aesthetics while ensuring the technical core remained solid. My focus was on maintaining 100% technical compliance with scanning standards while allowing for significant aesthetic flexibility. A primary concern with artifact barcodes is their reliability. To ensure performance, I have rigorously tested all available styles using standard hardware and software scanners. As shown in the video, even complex patterns are instantly recognized without compromising data integrity. BARKOD is an ongoing project, and this launch is the first step.
